MOD opened a couple of weeks ago in Bellevue. I really miss pizza by the slice. While MOD isn't really 'by the slice,' you do order a full pie for $5.88 and easily devour it in five minutes.
All pizzas are the same price, no matter how you top it. But is it any good? Well, the toppings on the spicy meat pizza I ordered were quite good. The cheese was OK, too. But the crust was very disappointing... it was dry and flavor-free. Too bad.
Overall, though, for the price, I would eat there again.
Rigoletto is my favorite pizza on the UWS. They have easily the best crust.
Since moving to Seattle, I noticed that they've expanded into the next door space and added outdoor seating. Could this be the spillover effect from having Magnolia Bakery as a next door neighbor?

The suck that is Unconventional Pizza cannot be described in words or picture. Located in the Convention Center, thus the name (I hope), they serve up a flat, taste-free slice of pizza... for $3.50! The cheese is blobby, the pepperoni has no kick, and the crust is soggy.
If you're in a hurry, and craving pizza, you would be much better served popping into a 7-11 and getting a Red Baron frozen pizza and throwing it in a microwave. Skip right past Unconventional Pizza. It pretty much blows.
Have I told you how much I love pizza? At the end of the day, pizza may be my favorite food. Or maybe it's hamburgers. OK, sushi, a nice rib eye, my mom's lasagna, tacos and fried chicken are also in the mix for my favorite. I'll settle that in another post.
One problem with living in the International District is finding pizza. Or a good burger, for that matter. But for now, we'll concentrate on the pizza. One day, while combing through my pile of junk mail, I found a flier for Amante Pizza. Finally, a place that delivered here!
Not only do they deliver to my apartment, but they also make a pepperoni and jalapeno pie... my absolute favorite. Unfortunately, their pizza isn't the greatest. The crust is too thick for a thin crust pizza. The crust also lacks crunch. However, the sauce is pretty good, as are the cheese and toppings.
Overall, I'd rate the pizza as better than Domino's/Pizza Hut, but not quite Pagliacci. I'll write about my favorite Seattle pizza soon.
On my way to Boston last summer, I spent a night in Mystic. I'm a sucker for a good aquarium.
I'm also a sucker for pizza. I love it. One of my favorite foods, in fact.
Unfortunately, the pizza at Mystic Pizza, made famous by the Julia Roberts movie (the one that made her a star) was not very good. Honestly, I don't remember much about it. That's a bad thing. The beer was good, though.
